Hands down my favorite Phrag. species. Miss the shows, (although we only did four a year) but most of all miss seeing friends/customers we met along the way.
Tom, I like that we can be blooming the same sweet flowers, thousands of miles apart. Here are three 3 outdoor shots of one of my besseaes this morning. I tried to dial down the sunlight on one of the pics, to try to capture the sparkles. It did not really work, but I know they’re there. Aloha, Kate

Yes it is. I should probably cut the flower and let it rest, but it’s hard...
That's a really nice example KateL. What are the parents? It's hard to capture besseae well because the color is in the fine hairs and the background is pale.
Hi Eric, Thanks. I picked up a flask of these at a Paph Guild meeting. They came from Tokyo Orchid Nursery, but I don’t have the cultivar names of the parents. I asked someone who works with them to see if they could find out and I never heard back. I’m sure you’re right about the photos, but there is a lack of talent (or patience or both) too. Best, Kate
