In bloom this morning, in a sunny greenhouse. One of our favorite species; Found in Peru and Bolivia growing near mountain streams at approx 5,000 ft elevation.

I have a big clump of this species that usually blooms (if it's going too:mad:) later in December.

That high elevation preference suggests that it does better at cooler temps.

I keep mine parked right in front of the wet wall, but this has been a brutal summer for us in TN.
 
Very easy to grow as long as you don't let it dry out. We grow ours in a shallow pan of rain water. FYI - This is a vigorous clone, and the parent of the seedlings we're offering on the website.
