This is ecuadorense X richteri. It closely resembles Phrag richteri except that the lines on the pouch are more pronounced like euadorence and the staminode has the dark hairs along the top edge like ecuadorence. It is a vigorous grower.

how does the size of the flower compare to the size of the plant?

To give you an answer to your question, I went out to the greenhouse and took a photo of the plant. It is sitting next to a yellow besseae for reference. Both are planted in transparent beer cups. As you can see the flower overall is bigger than the besseae and the plant is larger also. The flowers are more or less in the same plane in the photo (the besseaes are leaning forward a little). I think the flower is nicely balanced with the plant (for a flower of this type).
