So, its blooming again? Mine is in bud, and will come later. Had an attack of scale on it , discovered last year so it is not looking as green as your is. Not too commonly seen this variety;)

For 2017, it bloomed most of last year. I agree Bjorn, not often see and even more so with this clone. I have another one from John, its more resistant to blooming.

I love it. Nice flower.

I've got a P. pearcei that has been in spike/bloom since March or April of last year. One of the old spike is just now finally opening its last bloom, and there's a new spike forming that's already got a good sized bud showing. It was a reluctant bloomer until it reached a size where it had a dozen or more growths, and since then, it's been a good bloomer. It needs to be repotted this year, though, and I'm concerned that's going to set it back awhile. In my experience, they hate being repotted.

Here is the other ecuadorensis. I think it has hit the critical mass category for blooming but not to be yet4c9d65b148cbe31c66ea5b018f4bcb19.jpg

Here is my pearcei and it can be tough to bloom with multiple flowers

The two together. If you look closely, the ecuadorensis leaves are narrower then the pearcei. Basically the same length
