Blooming again in 2017



For 2017, it bloomed most of last year. I agree Bjorn, not often see and even more so with this clone. I have another one from John, its more resistant to blooming.So, its blooming again? Mine is in bud, and will come later. Had an attack of scale on it , discovered last year so it is not looking as green as your is. Not too commonly seen this variety![]()
Here is the other ecuadorensis. I think it has hit the critical mass category for blooming but not to be yetI love it. Nice flower.
I've got a P. pearcei that has been in spike/bloom since March or April of last year. One of the old spike is just now finally opening its last bloom, and there's a new spike forming that's already got a good sized bud showing. It was a reluctant bloomer until it reached a size where it had a dozen or more growths, and since then, it's been a good bloomer. It needs to be repotted this year, though, and I'm concerned that's going to set it back awhile. In my experience, they hate being repotted.
