Phrag Eumelia Arias, this bloom punished me !

I had posted in another thread that my EA was about to open!

Therefore I post these pics, even if I have not to be proud of what happened to this first flower.
I had the plant with the bud looking at me, = turned away from the light. So I was able to watch the development;



But when the bud exploded/opened the petals complety flipped backwards!


I of course changed the alignment of the plant towards the light, and the petals were so nice to re-adjust a bit:


And here the +/- def. look, about 8cm ns:


Maybe the second bud will have more chances to open 'normally'

It's got a lovely colour to it looks like it should turn out tombe a lovely flower in time.
The first time mine spike it aborted iit and had to wait two years go it to flower in the end.

It's a first bloom. I've seen goofier first blooms and the
color is wonderful. I have an EA in spike with its first
bloom and it could be far worse than this one.
