Ooops. The flower of my plant is now open. I took a look again at the name... Sorry, it is not the same cross.

It is Phrag (richteri' Twister' x besseae 'Neon Baby')

Jean-Pierre: is P. besseae 'Neon Baby' a pure "yellow"?

I can't say? But it is a possibility, I never heard neither seen any 'Neon Baby' yet??? You should ask at the source for that!
NB: I will be interested to know! Thanks!

Phrag besseae 'Neon Baby' is a pure red from Orchidbabies. When mixed with the pale richteri it makes this color. There are significant differences between this bloom and the ones made with a flavum besseae.

Phrag. richterii and boissierianum allies when they are mixed with besseae flavum or paler parent tend to pale the offspring and turn out exactly that range of colouration showning orange or deeper colouration only where the richterii or species are having darker burgundy lines.

In your example Eric, I’m seeing only a very slight difference, if it is not just a difference in light, contrast or just by the age of the flower (they become more yellow when aging).

This could not be a red besseae hybrid for me sorry!

I traded a piece of my richteri and gave Earl one or two of the flowers to breed with a couple of years ago. This hybrid seem too soon to be from that trade. Again, nice clone
