Phrag Les Dirouilles

Phrag Les Dirouilles (Sorcerer's Apprentice 4N x Grande 4N) first flowering for me. The plant was purchased last fall from Waldor Orchids - thanks to David for picking out a nice plant.
Not 100% sure on how to measure the flower size. The lateral petals are 7 inches long and span a space of 5 1/2 in at their tips. The pouch is 2 1/2 in tall.

1200 x 1600 is a large picture, but it is only 2.0 megapixels. Unless it is a very old digital camera, I would think it could provide a larger picture. The pictures you posted are nowhere near 1200 x 1600, however.

In fact, they are 262 x 350 pixels. What are you using as a photo editor? I suspect when you save them as jpegs, they are being downsized. When you save them, can you save them so that they are 1 megabyte instead of 400 k?

Picture Size

I have gotten into habit of resizing my photos for posting as required by most sites. The other sizes available are 760 pixels or 600 pixels vs the 350 pixels I have been using.

I use www.shrinkpictures.com

For this photo:

Original Image Size 1200 W by 1600 H and 415 K (425336 bytes)
New Image Size 450 W by 600 H and 28 K (28564 bytes).


So this worked.
