The first flower had two flaws (on the dorsal and the staminode) but the second one seems perfect to me!
Enjoy it.

Didn't want to move it outside for a better photograph, for sure the oldest of the three flowers is going to drop this afternoon (as they for some reason always do) - but want to share this rare show of three flowers together on one stem (lighted up with a little bit of gimp).

Thank you all! The oldest flower already jumped - lasting 22 days is really good, I think. Last year I had 8 flowers on the spike, let's hope for the same or more. Nºs 4 und 5 flowering now.

Darn. I missed this post when it was first submitted. Thanks for sharing, though.

I have to say, this is probably my favorite phrag hybrid, particularly when discussing besseae hybrids. It's a classic for sure. I love the flower shape better than any other besseae primary, and as far as color goes, it's really wonderful.

The flower count on your plant is outstanding! I grow on the warmer side, so for most of my phrags, 1 - 2 flowers per spike is typical. A phrag flower that lasts 22 days is exceptional. I have one particular Phrag. Sunset Glow clone that holds individual flowers for about that long when it blooms in the fall as long as I keep it cool. The flower quality isn't that great, but I have kept the plant in my collection specifically because the flowers last so long.
