From an ST link long ago apparently.

Doesn't look anything like Phrag Fritz Schomburg.

Actually I would say that the picture is from a plant brother of this one:

This is a Fritz Schomburg (kovachii "ANA" x besseae) from my collection.

My picture is from the first flower (last year).

Many thanks!.

I saw this picture before... but in my opinnion this is not a Phrag. Memoria Maria Teresa Fighetti but a Phrag. Fritz Schomburg.

Actually, this is my plant and my picture. I bought it as one of the first round of kovachii hybrids from Glen Decker. I bought it as a very small seedling. I can tell you that it is not Fritz Schomberg. Te flower did not develope the best it could because it bloomed in july/august and it was HOT! The plant habit was different from my Fritz Schombergs, and Glen got them in flask I believe. Others from that flask have bloomed out slightly different. It does not seem like many of this cross have bloomed or are still alive. My plant was very slow and always got rot.

Thanks a lot Cheyenne. First of all I have to say that I have never seen Phrag. Memoria Maria Teresa Fighetti before. I think that only a few plants of this cross have been bloomed. My plant is supposed to be MMT Frighetti but I am trying to confirm it. Glen thinks it is and Alfredo too but the second has some doubts.
My plant has resulted to be a extremely vigorous grower and much more resistant to rot than Fritz Schomburg. It has 2 new growths developing pretty quick.

I said that your plant was a FS is because of the pouch and the staminoid shape. Other point is the pouch coloration, it should have some White or yellowish coloration on the top (probably spotted) Finally the flower shape... I would expect a flower much more rounded .

Nevertheless we all know that orchids are extremely non-mendelian and so much times we are surprised by the result of our crosses. Your plant seems to be dominated by besseae genetics much more than mine.
