Phrag mont fallu

Here is the first blooming of my mont fallu that I received last year. I think that it is a nice shape although I am hoping that the petals will grow longer as time progresses.

Thanks Ed, yes 'Monty' finally delievered the goods but I am a bit upset that the petals didn't get longer. It has only been open for just over a week though so maybe they will grow?

It's a nice, big flower. You should be pleased. I don't think you can expect much more length to the petals. It is 3/4 longifolium and only 1/4 caudatum. What you've got for petal length is pretty much what you should expect from this cross.

I hope that is the case but I have seen many M/F's and they have all had very long petals I hope that mine get longer over the next blooming cycle.
