Was given to Milton Carpenter by Tom Coffey after he won an 87 point AM in 2002. Since then, it has been grown in the cool room, and has doubled the number of spikes and flowers.

Very nice flower. The plant is producing a tremendous number of blooms per spike. There must be great genetics and great culture involved here.

Nice! So is it still Milton's plant or is it yours now, Brian? Is this the plant Tom got the 87 pt AM on?

It is Milton's, and it grows in his cool room. I have to admit, though, after re-potting this monster (16 inch pot, double potted into a 20 inch pot with shapg in between) and feeding it for two years, I have a certain attachment!

Yes, Tom won the award.

That's an awesome plant I'd love to have. Wow!

I think there's some info missing here, Brian. If this plant won the AM, why not put that award after it's name? Also; if Tom owned the plant when it won the award and he gave it to Milton and it grows in Milton's cool room, why did you repot it and why are you feeding it? Bottom line, are you gonna get a piece of this beauty?

We'll see, since it is de for repotting this year. But I thought we would just grow it bigger, and try for a CCM. And I forgot to add the AM appelation to the photo.

Wonderful! I have a friend with a specimen of this hybrid, I especially like it because it carries so many blooms open on each spike.
