I prefer the second pic for having a better presentation. All the flowers are centered and facing the same way. Also the stakes are hidden more. The stakes could of been shorter to not show above the flower spikes.

That's what I was thinking of, too.
If stakes are unavoidable use e.g. shorter stakes ending below the flowers and therefore they don't appear on the photo or use a special angle of vision to get the stakes hidden behind the spikes/flower stems.
