Been trying to bloom this for the past three years. For some reason it has been the most difficult I have come across. Anyhow the patience has paid off!! Known as Phragmipedium Scheherezade.

Nicely coloured one. The ones I've seen were more whitish.
My straight wallisii has been difficult under my growing conditions. I think
that it likes warmer temperatures and maybe that cross likes the same?

I like it. I used to see this cross for sale pretty regularly back in the early 2000's, but I can't recall seeing it offered anywhere in recent history.

Anyway, the flowers turned out really nice. Good combination of parental traits
