This guy was made with yellow besseae and miraculously survived the thrip war of ‘24. It’s always been a small but strong plant.

Opened yesterday…. This is Fritz Schomburg ‘Poe Creek’ x besseae flavum ‘Broadwaters’ AM/AOS from Woodstream. I’m digging the shape and color a lot so far. Interesting striping in the dorsal. Will be fun to watch this one mature.

Probably my favorite Phrag hybrid. Very neat appearance on this. I must've missed that when it was available from Woodstream. My experience is that this is a highly variable hybrid with a good number of them looking a bit like besseae on steroids while others look more like miniature Fritz Schomburgs. But some of the absolute best are incredible.
