Happy Lunar New Years!

Phrag. Rouge Bouillon (dalessandroi x Memoria Dick Clements). This first bloom seedling was purchased at last years NCOS show from the members sales table, a Chuck Acker cross (CA456).

Sorry I don’t have a full picture of the plant, it’s in a 1 gallon net pot with grodan chunks. The leaves are damaged from a bacteria or fungus rot that I was not able to shake, but it’s being treated with an eye on the new lead growth. I was amazed it even had the energy to flower. I wanted to see what I’ve got and plan to chop the spike, posting this as a reference point for future blooms.

Enjoy!

It's gorgeous and great color. I hope you post photos again in the future once it has recovered from the ick and blooms again. In theory, it will be prone to developing heavily branched spikes once it is large and healthy.

This hybrid was on my wish list for a while, but I don't think I was ever able to find one for a price I was able/willing to pay. I think I'll leave it on my wish list for some time in the future when I have more time and can start expanding the collection again.

Good job on blooming this and thanks for sharing!

Incase you are looking. Chuck Acker has flasks of this cross listed on his website.

I don't think it was there last time I window shopped on his site, so it must've been a fairly recent addition. Exciting to see! Unfortunately, I really have to get serious about downsizing my collection a bit and keeping it smaller for the foreseeable future. Hopefully I can resist the temptation.
