It's interesting -- somewhere in this forum, we talked about Photobucket changing the colors of files placed there. It certainly happened with this image -- when I brought it up in Photoshop after seeing and comparing it with the one posted here, the intensity of the pinks and magentas are very much intensified from the original. It's much prettier without the added intensity.

So, Dot, are you saying this photo does not accurately represent the colors? Because I must say I really find this to be a wonderful color. I might find the real colors less attractive! Although I'm sure I would like this, no matter the depth or intensity of the color.

Such a pretty one. And appears to have been grown extremely well. And of course the photography goes without saying.

Dot if you want to you could send the photo's to me so I can host them on my own webspace. Then we could compare the colours.

I thought what a coincidence ... we awarded a plant _very_ much like that. Only to notice that this was the plant. I think three color was a bit better in person. It is what carried the day.

The color is fine, it is the amount of saturation that's a bit off. The photo you see has a little too much color intensity.

It is a beauty! So you just got a HCC 6 days ago??? Again, Congratulations!!
Caught that, eh? Thanks!

Interesting idea. I could try that on my webpage, also. Thanks, Marc!

Greg is the person who had the plant pulled for judging, so, Greg, I owe you a debt of gratitude. Thanks!

So I linked to the image I placed in my website, and I don't see any difference. So there must be some setting I don't have quite right when I "save for web" in Photoshop. I'll have to experiment. 'Cause there is a definite difference when I open the jpeg saved on my computer vs. seeing the same image on the web on my computer. Interesting.

I've been drifting away from phrags lately but seeing this one has put me back on the right path. Thanks for sharing this wonderful plant.

Wow, Dot, that is a beauty. I don't have much more room on my phrag shelf, but I would make room for one of those! Congratulations on the award!
