This is the one I purchased from orchids for you. The plant didn't get affected by the introduced scale so is happier than the other survivors











The first flower to open was small and I was a bit disappointed, but it kept growing slightly over time, and ended up normal size. It stayed on when the second flower opened. It was a bit dark when I got home so there are shaky pictures, and next morning when I woke up the first had fallen off
No problem! Got to see it and get pictures with two flowers

I purchased some plants after buying this one that had scale, that didn't show itself for a few months. By the time I saw it most of the smaller plants were hard hit and the bayer rose and flower spray did nothing. Now i am using dr bronners peppermint oil soap

Mix the soap with alcohol and water, and Merit 75 if you have some. Yay besseae hybrids! That branching is a benefit of dalessandroi.

Nice flowers! The colouration is very pale and the staminode very large...interesting... Do you have more info about the schlimii used in this cross?

I can double check the tag when I get home to see if there is anything about a clonal name of schlimii, but I don't think there is more info.

Looking at the tag, the schlimii doesn't have any specifics in it's name
