Here is a darker colored and vigorous Sorcerer's Apprentice. This is a large plant and has been in bloom now for 7 months since May!

Beautiful flower!!! I have a friend that has a big nice one, but she hasn't goten it to bloom. How
do you grow it?

How big is the plant? About 8 feet tall?

It's hard to say as it's against the back wall and it's just too much to get it out of it's spot without knocking a bunch of plants over. My guess is about 5-6 feet including the inflorescence.

Ruth, Have her move it to a much brighter spot. That should do it! Mine is in full cattleya light and it's potted in a small orchiata bark, charcoal and sponge rock mix.

Thanks, I will let her know.
