Phrag Tate Olsen "Sunshine Rioja" AM/AOS

Took me 5 years to learn how to raise phrags and 2 years to bloom this Phrag Tate Olson. I spent years asking for advice from Rob Halgren - water it more, Phrags like water. Dennis Steinbeck - Oh More water. And give it some k-lite, it does wonders. To Russ Vernon - drown it in water, let it sit in an inch of water.

I took it to the 3 Rivers Orchid Show and surprisingly found out it got 81pts and got an AM/AOS.

I decided to name it 'Sunshine Rioja'. Because My apartment has so many growlights that my friends say I practically have a sun on my apartment. And then Rioja because it is my favorite wine region and the pouch reminds me of the color of aged rioja wine

The flower spike is now 76cm tall. 1 flower, and 3 more buds. Coming in. I am aiming for the big 100cm flower spike
