lets help out with that heat bill!

Very nice flower, Tom... I would like to have one in front of me to have a better idea but I keep convinced that this is a man made complex hybrid.
In any case I would be happy to get one seedling... so please put me in the list if you get viable seed and seedlings. To my knowledge noone has been able of get seed from it.

There's been a lot of discussion on ST regarding the lineage. Some say it's a hybrid, others a species. So far I haven't seen any published scientific evidence either way. We just received a report from the propagation lab that our Phrag. (tetzlaffianum x fischeri) seed capsule has germinated, so apparently there are some breeding possibilities - maybe just not a selfing.

Some breeding with tetzlaffianum is possible, x Barbara LeAnn = Mem. Jack Stoddart, x Cardinale = Fredrick Ford, x Grande = Faust's Obsession, x humboldtii = Ben Stormes and x lindleyanum = Quiet Dragon

But scarce seedlings are produced in the progeny… I don’t know how many time I tried to self that ‘species’, more than hundred for sure! Wishing you good luck Tom!

I can’t wait to see the result of a self since a long time! That will light up some clues and maybe giving some answer about the origin of it.
