The flower looks undernourished, i.e. that it did not get enough water or fert. or was stressed.

This particular cross is quite unstable. The first flower on mine was deformed but the second flower was amazing..

I think you can be right about fertilizer. I was so afraid about overfertilization. And I must say that temperature was not very cool this summer!

There is another bud. Maybe it will be better?
