Phragmipedium besseae

In September 2021 I got my first Phragmipedium besseae from Ecuagenera. The first flowers have now opened. It keeps growing and is now more than 50cm wide. Even though I removed all the climbing shoots as cuttings. The photo without flowers shows the plant as I got it in 2021.

Yay besseae! Thanks for sharing. Way better than the besseaes they have cooking in Florida.
Did you air-layer the climbing stolons first, so they have roots?

No, I put besseae cuttings straight into the substrate and put the whole pot with the plant in a plastic bag. It's like a mini greenhouse. After about 8 weeks the plant has enough roots.

The last cutting even formed a flower with the roots.
