try Equagenera

Earlier in the thread, Theodoreorchidking mentioned that this mislabeled plant came from Ecuagenera.

It may be worthwhile to reach out to see if Ecuagenera will offer a refund. At least give them a chance to make things better.

Personally, I wouldn't accept another potentially mislabeled "caudatum" from them as a replacement nor would I reward their mistake by ordering another from them. Even good vendors make mistakes and despite everyone's best efforts, sometimes unfortunate things happen that are outside of a vendor's control. However, Ecuagenera has a reputation for this sort of thing.

I've been out of town, and just returned today. It is dark and I'm going to wait for better natural light. The petal length came out to 33cm and I'm not sure if it is still growing or not. I am pleased with the flowers and colors.

I am pleased with the flowers and colors.
That is all that matters then!
I got my order on Friday from Ecuagenera US--A Sophronitis grandiflora(AKA var. of S. coccineae) on mount, and a few Den. cuthbertsonii hybrids(flowers and plants look pretty much like the cuthbertsonii species...), nice large plants(larger than those you will get by preorder)...I would be happy with just half of that size! They didn't have the species cuthbertsonii for me tho.

I don't know about that.
I know it is not the same/ what he ordered but it is better than something he would not like! I am not trying to cover up the vendor's mistakes but things happen. Talk to the vendors if you have encountered a problem...trashing a vendor in public constantly is not a solution. Also, In this case, value-wise is not a huge difference...Just saying!
How you would react if it had turned out to be something far more valuable like kovachii? 🤣...that had happened to someone who ordered a hybrid from Ecuagenera. I bet that person who got the kovachii did not send Ecuagenera more money. LOL!

definitely not any of the long petalled species. Grande (or whatever it's called now) makes sense. I would recommend growing this wet. (unlike the species). My longifolium x long-petalled want the wet feet.
