Leaf span is 14in x 1in on the division i bought from windyhill orchids about 6 months ago.

I have a problem believing this is Phrag dalessandroi. search and look at some of the posts and you'll see the color of the plant, leaves, and petals and form dont match dalessandroi.

I need to read the posts better -- I see it's from Windy Hill.

I wonder whether it is really dalessandroi, also. If you compare this photo to the ones posted on phragweb.com, it really looks more like a besseae.

I wonder where Marilyn got hers from.

Dot, on the one you posted in 2010 the shape and droop of the petals, plus the yellow flame are consistent with the form. Did that one ever branch and how's the plant growth habit?

Fox Valley has genuine dalessandroi. I agree with Eric that the one you posted Dot has the characteristics of dalessandroi. If you want a real one Fox Valley is the best bet.
