My 1st phrag to flower, now on the hunt for a Phrag. besseae!

They dont have besseae offered at the moment, though I am tempted by their besseae hybrids. I'm just not sure I have the ideal growing conditions to commit to phrags.

As they grow on a windowsill, the humidity is rather low. Cattleya seem to deal with this fine, but my paphs and phrags are much much slower in growing, and less of them flower.

I would love to, I already kind of have one though, my aquarium! My parents made me get a lid for it though as the evaporation was causing the paint to strip.

Most of my plants are grown S/H style, so the saucers do help to aid humidity, but I'm not sure its enough.

Hello Tom,
last week I visited "Wössner Orchideen", the Orchid Grower
Franz Glanz had some Phrag. besseae in his greenhouse.

If your leaves are not accordian pleated, you are probably OK.
