Phragmipedium roezlii

I have a Phrag. roezlii is it actually a species or just a subspecies of longifolium?

I could be wrong, but I believe it's an outdated synonym, not a subspecies.

longifolium var. roezlii is "tentatively accepted" by RHS as Ray correctly stated, roezlii is an accepted form and not a subspecies. Same goes for chapadense, gracile, and hartwegii. Consistent with Braem.
