I'm all set with 2 kerosene heaters for the greenhouse ready to light if we lose power. If it doesn't happen tonight hopefully we can make some arrangements to get the generator set up outside if we can clear enough snow for a setup & it's not snowing too much, during daylight. The real threat hasn't started yet with high winds & snow but plows have been thru 3 x on my road. The Long Island Expwy closes at 11pm -trains,buses etc sooner.

YIPPEEEEEEEE---- we didn't lose power but a funny thing happened AT 4.10 this morning.I was sort of drifting in & out of sleep when my 84 yr old hubby yelled from the other room--Where are you? I yelled back I'm here in the bedroom so he came in all dressed & said didn't we lose power? Apparently he had been dreaming about the greenhouse & losing power so he just dressed quickly when he woke up without even checking the lights on the TV & his clock. Here he was with a lantern in his hand.Of course I was doubled up with laughter as he had such a stupid look on his face as he realized what he had done.St George--out slaying the dragon!!!:D

:) that's funny! Wound up and ready to go!

I just got up enough to look through blinds to see no snow, and realize that I have to go to work instead of day off (have to mist cuttings)

Troy-thanks--still snowing but we have power see above remark.I don't know when I'll get the car out of the drive as I haven't heard from my plow guy & it's too much for us old guys to shovel--12 to 14".

Glad to hear that, past few years you guys had been at the mercy of some pretty gnarly storms

All shoveled out so life is good.Just need to shovel a little path to greenhouse which can be done tomorrow.

Your husband sounds like mine, worries more about the greenhouse than I do (and that is a lot!).
Good news! Looks like Mother Nature decided Boston needed a pounding. Payback for deflated footballs?!! :D
:rollhappy:

I hope everyone is making it through this storm OK.
