Rossioglossum grande 2022

This 'tiger orchid' is one of my most beloved orchids and furthermore she is a reliable annual bloomer.
Although she made great efforts this year and produced 11 flowers on 3 spikes.....she has been beaten by David's 18 flowers and of course by William's 21 flowers.
Maybe next year.....

Now the hybrid Rossioglossum Rawdon Jester (R. grande x R. willamsianum) is flowering and the differences between both, the species and the hybrid, are really small. Though there are few.
For comparism here are the photos of R. Rawdon Jester.

What camera/phone are you using? Beautifully photographed GuRu. These flowers remind me of a dragonfly I
often see flying over my pool in summer. I enjoy their acrobatics enormously...and the flowers.

Thanks Angela. My camera is a SONY alpha 7II (ILCE-7M2) without flash.
I bought this camera in 2015 and in that time it was not a cheap one. But nowadays even cameras of cell phones are able to produce also very good photos which are quasi on par. I always take a certain amount of photos and select the best ones on my computer.
