Honestly, it's STILL not fully recovered from whatever made it melt right after shipping 4 years ago. One day it'll drop the other shoe. Still, quite a thing. Pouch color improved quite a bit, though.
Dorsals are 6-6.3ishView attachment 52745

Top quality and highly awardable. Pleasing form, broad segments, clean dorsal markings, and fully saturated lip. This beauty has it all.

Where did this gem come from?

It’s amazing how they can carry trauma, just like us. Love to see the whole plant. I think this is quite a flower!

That is a special clone. The colour and markings are incredible. I don't know what 'Sunlight Giant' looks like, but I have a photo of 'Kuang Hua Village' and your plant sure resembles that clone a lot. Same down swept petals, red pouch, dark colour and heavy striping. This is a great example of a seedling that looks a lot like its parent.

I have one roth seedling of 'Sunlight Giant' x 'Mont Millais' that is growing well. Your plant gives me hope it may be nice.

The downsweptness annoys the heck out of me, actually. It was much less so on the first bloom. If the petals were held at an angle of 12-15° instead of almost 30°, these would be 30cm flowers.

Post the Photo (and parentage if you know it) of Kuang Hua Village please! I've never seen it. Here is Sunlight Giant and if memory serves it's Val x Mt Millais: FB_IMG_1739679748766.jpg

Thanks for the photo of Sunlight Giant.

Here is a photo of Kuang Hua Village. The photo I scanned was very dark. Brightened it up a bit. But it doesn't quite look natural. I am pretty sure the roth on the left at this link is Huang Hua Village. Your plant certainly has taken much more after Kuang Hua Village. I don't know the parentage of this clone.
