Hi
Just want to show my rothschildianum.
Last yeat when it bloomed for the first time, it had one stem with 3 flowers.
This year it has 2 stems with 7 flowers.
Next year it looks like 3 growth will mature.... I hope :)

That's a stunning plant Lars. It's gaining a lot of strength with it's size and it's rewarded you with a beautiful display. The flowers seems to have good shape and colour. Are you going to enter it in to any competitions as it would definitely be up there in the species category. Congratulations, fabulous growing.

UPS.... sory I did not remember I already posted about this plant... sorry, must be getting old

Here is last years blooming in the first posting about this plant... If I remember correct http://www.slippertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=25457 :rollhappy:

I think the progress is pretty good.

.... And by the way, thanks all for your comments!

It live and grow on the spot where it is photographed - in our living room.
I dont have a greenhouse. I hope one day to be able to afford one.

I grow it in a media called Greenmix for Orchids.
(tips for growing in it here: http://www.orchidegartneriet.dk/?pid=79&sub=70&sub2=71 )

My biggest problem is humidity....In winter I really struggle to keep it over 40% relative humidity.

But I guees growing in Greenmix helps me, because the trick is NOT to be afraid of water!
Keep it wet at all times, never let it dry out.
The medium is 100% inorganic and contain so much air, that it is virtualy imposible to drown the plants.

So the microclimate is more humid...

bla bla I could keep talking about it, but I guess it is ok to be proud when things go well, like this one :)

By the way, I am representing Mundiflora in London soon... Will I see anyone from the list ?

The proud "farther" ;)
Lars
