This was an in bud one from Nick. It was one of the mature/select/stud plants. The clonal cross was 'Striation' x 'Halo'.

.. it's mature, 2nd blooming, I waited a couple days to see if it was going to flatten out, it did but then the bottom edges of the dorsal curled back!

Rose, I'm at work so can't comment on the photo as I can't see it (blocked). But I just wanted to mention that 2 of my select plants are also showing plump buds. I should be able to add a photo or two in the near future. What I really don't understand is most of my select/stud/mature plants only has one mature growth that hasn't bloomed yet. All I can think of is that Nick divided some of the plants to make them go further.

Lovely bloom,Rose!
Do we know who got that cross package- it was a very large amount of plants!!

Did anyone else get photos of their select plants from Nick? Someone had suggested asking him for photos, so I did. He had 2 of mine, I can post later if anyone is interested. And it looks like I have one early bud starting on a select fanaticum I kept too.

Eric- Nick sent me a photo of one of my select plants. It's a P Conco Lucia that Nick had written the Roman numeral Xll in pencil next to the name. Please show us yours, and I'll hunt mine down to show.

Sorry Rose for interupting your thread.

Could you give us measurements, Rose? The curling might just be a reaction to all the traveling while in bud.

Looks great to me. The form may even get better as the plant gets bigger.e-spice

I was kinda wondering that. I think it's small, only 2 3/4" across, it's a 2 growth plant, 1 previous bloomed growth which doesn't appear to be divided.
Might be worth holding on to for another blooming, my goal should be to get multiple new growths for next year!
