Been a lot of downer sanderianum threads here lately. Here's a seedling I got from Sam around 18 months ago. The red line indicates how much leaf was sticking out of the crown when I got it. Certainly slower than most multis, but as you can see, not THAT slow, and it's getting faster.

I wonder if we would ever be able to have faster and less finicky sanderianums like this through breeding.

Not too bad and from what I heard, once reached a flowering size, they should grow on just fine.
I'm not a sandy grower, though. Doesn't do much to me. lol

4-5 leaves from blooming, I'd say. 48cm leafspan

That is a dam nice plant. What cross? Also do you know what causes that yellowing at the base? It is so annoying on 2 of mine.

It's 'World 101' x something or other, & that's just physical damage that's healed over, nothing to worry about.

I think I have two of those. They are the same cross just the recipient of the polen is flipped.

I have a different cross from Sam I picked up in February. It's been growing fine with the addition of the last two leaves. The new fan is 20+ inches
