As I'm sure many of y'all have found, this passion grows quicker then some bank accounts! Does anyone have some suggestions as to where to get some cheaper flasks and plants? Orchids are naturally expensive due to their growing habits, but a guy can dream. I'm most interested in species, but all Paphs can count.

Plus one for eBay. Living in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the orchids available for me are from places like Home Depot, Walmart, etc. so eBay has been my most used venue for acquiring orchids. Like anything online, spend time checking out feed back from customers.

About once a year, in the spring Slipper Talk has a two week auction for members to bid on orchids. These orchids are donated by other members. I got two amazing plants that way.

If you are in an area where there is an orchid society, those groups often have sales of plants.

I list stuff on ebay for cheap every once in awhile. I had my big GH clean out sale on there. The bad part about ebay is all the fees they charge. I have a website, but don't keep it updated. When it comes to price,it depends on what you're looking for. The vendors mentioned here are good. I like Ebay,Andy's and Parkside for Hilo plants when I wanted things on a budget. Trading is a good way to go. I have found good prices with Orchid Inn as well.
