OK, "firstrays.com" has existed for over 22 years. For many of those years, my incoming and outgoing email servers were provided by the domain host.

About 10 years ago, I was finally able to get FiOS and do away with Comcrash for my home internet provider - YAY! - but kept my email through my web host.

Then about 5 years ago, I started getting notices that all of my outgoing emails were blocked as "spam." A little research led me to find out that FiOS had decided that, in order to control spam, all emails originating on their network had to be sent through their outgoing servers. The fact that they had implemented it two years earlier, but it hadn't been applied to me was beyond anyone's understanding in their tech support staff. OK, we fixed that, and for the last several years, all has been fine. Until yesterday...

My outgoing emails were again blocked, but the error message was that my username was not permitted to send on the Verizon network. WHAT!?!?!

It seems that they completely reversed themselves, and now, in order to communicate from firstrays.com, I would have to use my web host's servers, as Verizon would not "relay" messages from that domain.

Sheesh.
