Isn' t (wasn't) that a lovely genera name for catt hybrids => SLC !!?? whatever it is called today!
Here 2 pictures of my Jewel Box; I got it in 2002 as a rather small plant, but it has become a regular bloomer, one spike in bloom, a 2nd one with 4 buds (of course much, much smaller than the giants I saw some years ago at Lecoufle's nursery in Boissy-st-Léger near Paris with hundreds of blooms!!). It is one of my top favorites because of the very typical spicy fragrance and above all, with all those shades of red, also reminding of good french red wines!!! Jean

Bordeaux, Burgundy, Beaujolais or just Dornfelder??

I am using quite a lot of french wines; I got to know them also because my kids spent a number of years in France for their studies: south of France, Bordeaux, Strasbourg!! Jean
