This is really wacky. I laughed when I saw it Christmas season 2002. I just stumbled across my pictures of it.

I was driving up County Rd into rural Kenosha county Wisc, and saw this nativity staged with VW's. :) pretty silly

:(:(I don't think I'd recognize it as a nativity scene!

Hey Rose, think of the 2 VW Jettas flanking the scene as shepards, the VW Bus with the awning as the manger, the flamingos as the sheep & the pink plastic Bug as the baby Jesus. The two blue VW Logos on posts with a green shirt hanging underneath for Mary, the brown shirt hanging for Joseph.

The details are not real easy to make out in the photo. I like the irony, or the fun poke at brand loyalty.

Me either.
Thanks Wendy! I was hoping as was not the only one!

I was thinking the flamingos were the three wisemen. Hilarious. :rollhappy:
That was certainly a possiblity!

Leo - this is what I was thinking - While cruising the back county roads, how fast were you driving, did you turn around for a double take? With my husband at the wheel there's now way I would have taken that in! :rollhappy::rollhappy: Just look what he's missin'!

I drove past this scene twice a week for at least 2 weeks before I put it together what the collection of junk on the roadside was. Then it hit me and I damn near drove off the road as I was going by. I had to stop and take the picture.

And you guys are probably right "Flamingos as the Three Kings"
