This plant bloomed for the first time 2 years ago, it was 1 BS growths & 2 small growths. We're growing up - now 5 growths & several are the same size, next year should be really good! Petals are 14" long.
I got it off ebay 3 years ago, it had an OL tag!

oh my gosh look at those long flowing petals! love it!

That is a nice one Rose! I think you scored! (getting it from ebay). Robert
I'm sure I did - $35 plus if I took the unsold hincksianum for $20 she'd cover the postage on the 2nd plant. It was a deal, I love both of them!

Popowii x Grande???
According to my records, 3 yrs. ago it was wallisii x warscewiczianum. I just checked RHS, they have listed - wallisii x warszewiczii (is this just a different variance on the spelling?) ....... and it gets better yet-
registered in 2006 by orginator JASON FISCHER! I didn't know that! Robert was holding back on us!

Yes, once in a while Jason will make some crosses as well (besides me), and this time (I hate to admit it), it turned out really nice; it is one of my favorite long petalled crosses.

It is wallisii x popowii. The RHS now considers popowii to be warszewiczii, so yes they have it as wallisii x warszewiczii

Oh man!!! Didn't they change warszewiczii to popowii a few years ago? Now, they've switched it back? Plus, as Dot indicated, is this therefore currently called warszewiczii x warszewiczianum because we're supposed to be calling walisii, warszewiczianum?

Thanks for the clarification Robert. It is one of my favorites too. I belonged to SOF & someone posted a pic there & when I saw it on ebay, I went for it!
The petals have grown another 2" since I posted & the 3rd bud could be poppin' tomorrow! That should give Dot enough time to take a real good pic!

Isn't it crazy? I knew both names had been changed but if one waits long enough it might go back full circle! :p

Bring it here -- I'll be more than pleased to make a photo of it for you! -- though yours aren't bad at all.
