I'd have to wonder if that one on flicker is WV? or will this cross be that variable? :confused: If you're just looking at the pic, here is the comment below:
"The cross of Paph. niveum with Paph. armeniacum is an excellent illustration of Paph. niveum's ability to suppress plastid color expression in all parts of the flower except the staminode."
I would call mine a very, very pale yellow/creamy colored. It appears more whitish in the pic, I'll have to try a pic of it next to a dele, ... or maybe a white background?....

From what I understand, yellow is inherited along the maternal line. While armeniacum may give yellow genes to the cross, the niveum parentage can suppress the yellow genes because its plastids are programed for white. On the other hand, armeniacum's plastids are programed for yellow and niveum may have less suppressing power when it isn't the pod parent.

Anyone with experience (as opposed my useless theory) who can give some input on recipricol crossed using niveum and more coloured Paphs? I find this subject very interesting.
