Lathamianum (x villosum)

This is the $10 steal from eBay from weeks ago, now opening up.
I like the coloration and how small the plant is!
Vigorous little thing since it already has three growths.
I am donating it to the local society though.

Hsinying Delight (x Stone Lovely)
This is a two growth division from my big clump.
I'm also donating this one.
Very long lasting beautiful flower!

I bought it at a store in flower district here in the city many years ago.
It was a big clump, but one day it fell apart into a few pieces when repotting.
I have all away but kept two to myself.
strong plant with reliable blooming habit. :)

They are both nice!! I can't grow spices, too warm :(

Spicerianum seem very adapting, although I think I got an easy clone.

You have cooler nights than I do, so it should be a breeze.

Spicer, villosum, insigne... these are all very easy without enough chilling in my experience.
Complex hybrid x species have been even easier.

can you show the second one front on, please. It looks very interesting.

It is still opening up.
The dorsal will roll back at the base like spicerianum.
I like this kind of hybrid.
The deep green slowly fades over the course of 3 months.

Lathamianum looking much better after a few days of being open.
Villosum really adds some high gloss! :)

Nice, both of them.. Lathamianum is supposed to be a vigorous clumping plant, recently a bunch of these from Taiwan made it over here.. a vendor offered to sell me one big pot with a dozen flower spikes, but I got one with only 2.. :p

Why didn't you get the big one?
