My two cents worth.
Lehua orchids has good plants. Mostly Paphs though, never ordered Phrags. from them.
I really think that if you order 15 Paphiopedilums, his Half Box Special, you’ll get 15 gorgeous plants. Many with several fans and some have multiple spikes. He normally will select plants that you like, say greens/ white, vinicolors, or callosums. Or like me if you like spots!!
He has a list of all his crosses. I get the distinct impression that he doesn’t like to hunt for one of this, one of that, two of this, because it takes time. But if you like vini’s and let him choose the bulk of the 15 plants, he will try like heck to make you happy! Get a full box with 30 plants!!
I ordered a Half Box last June for the MOS auction. They came safely in bud. Many opened for the picnic/auction. I saw three or four that I thought were awardable but I resisted and did not keep them, the members got to bid on all of them.
Since the auction, I have had several members tell me how pretty they are!!
What did I pay?? Hold on to your hat! $251 for 15 Paphs., all in bud. That price included shipping. Do the math, it is like $17 per plant! I pay by personal check AFTER the plants came. Now who does that? Graham Wood does. It is like ordering from your Grandpa!!!
Just look at your AOS magazine in the back pages. So many of the awarded Paphs. are Lehua crosses.

BTW the plants brought in $513 at the auction. That doubles the money I spent. The club made a pure profit from that since I donated them. The club had a record income from the picnic/auction!! Lehua is partly responsible for that!
I would echo this
I ordered a box as a society fund raiser as well, and Graham was great to work with (he also sent the giant box of large and multi growth plants with an invoice to pay after the plants arrived).
The entire experience was great.

One thing that's happened only a handful of times - I have had mislabeled plants, which happened with our auction a few months back. The plants were generally in bloom though, so you'd be able to see what they are and I would think he would be able to help clarify the identity of the plant if that was important to you.

I thought Lehua only did wholesale business...I would have given them a try if they also did retail business for hobbyists.

Edit: Okay, it looks like they do retail as well...for some reason, it showed wholesale only when I looked them up a few months ago.
I actually thought that too. I appreciate the clarification!

I’ve been trying to order some phrags from Woodstream for months after initial contact with Bill and getting updated lists (from which to order).

Now—radio silence for some time. Contacting them has been, for me, a waste of time and an orchid chasing folley at best…

I'm in no position, nor can I defend the Goldner's communication record. Not responding is not good by any standard. I do know they go fishing across the country regularly, as well as being active in orchid meetings and speaking. I guess I'm just patient. But for me any waits have been worth it as their offerings are first class.
