What's happened to Ernie?

What's happened to Ernie? I had a look on the members list and it appears that he hasn't been here for almost 12 months.

I think someone was saying a few months ago that they had talked with him or emailed and he was just really busy(?)

I asked the same question 6 months ago and never got an answer.

The last I heard, he had a new job in Florida that was keeping him very busy. Sad -- I don't even know if he has time for orchids anymore.

As Ross & Hadley can verify, last time I saw Ernie he had just loaded up on BBQ at the International Slipper Orchid Symposium in November. I hope those mosquitos didn't carry him off.
