Wilhelminae (Dark Horse x Chocolate)

Picked this up a few years ago from Piping Rock as blooming size, multi-growth plant. It has continued to add growths, but never bloomed until this year, when it decided to send up two spikes. The first was in May 2020, and the second in January 2021. Hopefully, it will be a regular bloomer now....

Wonderful intense and dark colouration of these flowers.....seems it got all good genes of its parents.

Thanks! I feel like we don’t see this species that much. It’s too bad, it’s charming, and really nice that it doesn’t take up an entire window like a mature roth!

So is whilhelminae the same thing as gardineri?
My gardineri looked exactly the same as this flower.
I love the colors on the buds.

According to KEWscience it isn't. They list Paph. gardineri as well as Paph. praestans as synonyms to Paph. glanduliferum and Paph. wilhelmiae as a seperate species.
