I wanted to share the announcement for this event with everyone. This is going to be a special conference. Great speakers and great sales tables.

I want to get a sense on who was planning on going. I do hope to see many of you there.

Hi Pete!

As I understand, one of the local nurseries is going to help with arranging HI specific permits to bring plants onto and off the Island. What is required is a Hawaiian version of a Phyto, to ensure you're not bringing anything onto the Island that could cause a problem locally.

Substantial amounts of plants are always coming off the Island, it is a matter of process as opposed to licenses and the like.

I have never been to Hawaii so I'm very excited to visit. Is anyone familiar with orchid nurseries on the Big Island that are worth visiting? I know there are several, but I need to sort out my geography. I hope to spend a few days exploring before the conference.
