Xanthophyllum using hookerae var. volonteanum

Flower had been open a little more than a week. Quite a different look from the regular Xanthophyllum.

Great comparison.

It’s surprising that hookerae gave a better flower form and color in these two cases. I’m curious to see more sibs bloom out.

I have a second clone but the bud looks to have blasted. Ugh
