Wonderful! I just purchased a mackayi today! I can give it 25°C days and 17°C nights, will that work, do you think? And will it tolerate low humidity?
I can't speak to the species, as I've always grown hybrids - which I find are generally superior growers. I realize this will trigger some, but I'm looking for large fragrant flowers, two spikes per growth and twice a year flowering.

Fred Clarke has done amazing work with this group. Zygonaria have been bred specifically to allow for intermediate temperature environments. All of this group love to be kept moist and thrive in high humidity. Zygopetalum are tolerant of fairly low winter temps, growing alongside Cymbidiums, and survive but don't love warm summers. And some of the Zygonaria are quite compact, as opposed to many of the Zygos that can get quite large.

I’m asking again: why are ads for clearly wild-poached Cypripedium being blasted all over these threads?????
I can't speak for the ownership, but many ad services have limited options for disallowing a particular ad/site. This presents a difficult decision which greatly simplified is, "Pay for the site or allow a few inappropriate ads."

Our ads are just set to be related to the interests of this forum, probably, and beyond that it's likely out of the mods' control. Amazon has a lot of fake lady slipper "seeds" and such for sale. I assume it's something like that and ignore them.
