    Orchid garden visit

Not Orchidwoods, that nursery has been shut down since 2013 from what I can tell. This is the state run garden close to Brooke's Astana. abax, yes I've started a conservatory of sorts in my aunt's garden from plants I got from that market. Here's one of the bellinas that was blooming : )

    Orchid garden visit

Worth a visit if you're ever in Kuching -- the most fun part being the sampan (wooden boat) ride across the Sarawak river. Here are some pics of species. They're really not too fond of labels or ID's for orchids there for some reason... :poke: 1. Grammatophyllum speciosum 2. phillipinensis...

    Phal mariae

Thanks, all : ) It has both it seems - the one in flower is more 'normal' but the other spikes are dangly and wiry.. :poke:

    Phal mariae

First bloom plant that I got as a seedling. It almost died at one point, but it managed to survive. First time smelling this species -- it really does smell like tangerines. Pairs well with the bellinas that are blooming right now : )

    Phalaenopsis celebensis

Yes, Sweet and Christenson have both noted this species as being a stabilized peloric. It's a dominant trait in breeding as well. Like lindenii, this species has beautiful mottled foliage, with celebensis having an unmistakable light grey sheen.

    vini sanderianum

Wow. I'm in awe, and good luck with the breeding program.
