    Old school rothschildianum

Yes, I only grow them in a green house with water cooling system. I give you a picture on my growing environment taken two months before. But if you have opportunity to see the current top clones in Taiwan, you will definitely know what is really impressive and majestic. LOL

    Paph. kolopakingii var. topperi

I know this difference between AOS and TIOS/TPS. I only measure the Dorsal without flattening it, just tally with what is doing in Taiwan. If it is flattened, the size is over 3.6 cm, I am very sure.

    Paph. laevigatum “in charm”

This is a division of the captioned clone from in charm orchid nursery in Taiwan. This clone can produce up to 5 flowers per spike under the owner’s culture but I can only do 3 this year. Lots of improvement on my culture skills are expected.

    Old school rothschildianum

An old school roths. The flower count, color and shape is nice but the size of it is doing a dead bowl on its cultural value. The roths in Taiwan is improving too fast in recent years, that making those old school roths fades out rapidly. Anyway, for sharing please.

    Paph. kolopakingii var. topperi

Thank you for your estimation and comments. One point to note, there may be a flaw on the upper dorsal length as it seems kolopakingii has a vertical length of upper dorsal more than 10 cm is not realistic. But if it counts the length between the toppest and lowest points between the upper and...

    Paph. kolopakingii var. topperi

Nice to hear that you are one of the judges in AOS. I will send you the details tomorrow via PM. I will give you the measurements as same as those requirements for TIOS and TPS in Taiwan. Much appreciated if you could give me some idea on the quality of my monster then.

    Paph. kolopakingii var. topperi

OK, I will furnish you with the details when I go to the garden two or three days later. By the way, are you one of the judges in the AOS?

    Paph. kolopakingii var. topperi

So sad that I am a Hong Konger. I think this monster can be awarded at least AM in AOS.

This is the photo I took before. You can see the plant size as compared with other multiflorals

    Paph. kolopakingii var. topperi

I have been growing it for more than 6 years, from a single growth to a big clump. This clump of monster appears to be happy recently and produces me 2 tall spikes with totally 14 flowers this year. One for 8 and the other for 6. The flowers are larger than normal clones in the market and...

    Some multiflorals blooming

I think it is tap water. Sorry for my typo mistake and I apply fertilizer bi-monthly. The portion of N is 30 but I have to check the value of other components later.

    Some multiflorals blooming

I don’t know the type of water as it is supplied by the garden owner. I only apply those orchid fertilizer bought from the market bi-weekly. I focus on N fertilizer for boosting the size of the plant.

    Some multiflorals blooming

Yes, at sea level, but with only 50% shade in winter and spring and with 80% shade in summer and autumn.

    Some multiflorals blooming

I grow them only with 2 medias: perlite and fur bark. Since the environment I am growing is wet, the portion of them is 7:3. I water them once per week only and add fertilizer bi-weekly. Moderate to strong sunshine depends on which species. No other special culture methods.

    Some multiflorals blooming

It is a PEOY. The clone’s name is ‘Golden Master’. It was awarded a SM/TPS some years ago. However, the quality I bloom today is even higher as compared with the date of judging, in terms of flower count, size and color. Those qualities are definitely not at the market front. The improvement...

    Paphiopedilum ooii

I note the post on facebook also and had collected some information from my Malaysian friend who lives near mount kinabalu. This batch of ooii contains around 100 mature plants that was collected around week's ago. They are originally collected in clumps but has already divided into individual...

    working on Paphiopedilum philippinense

Typical fungus infection case. If the status of 1 last leaf remains for 6 month, still have a very little hope. But be prepared for the worst is better.
