    paph seeds

I am sowing six roth crosses next week. But I sow from green capsule, so I don't think that the seed will be ok after shipping because of contamination of the embryo, right?

    cypripedium medium

Thanks everyone for the links. I think I will try the Malmgren media for the Cyp. dickinsonianum seed. Small chance to get them to grow, but the same thing was said about the irapeanums and they grow very well now in Germany, Switzerland, Belgium and some other countries in Europe

roth seedling = rothling? trying to escape it's new home

The roth looks good so far. The new leaf looks promising too so nothing to worry about. And the behaviour is normal, no elongated internodes whatsoever. Good luck

    Any Ideas?

I am pretty sure that this is a roth. No hybrid for sure, because the roth staminode would show that. In fact there have to be lots of uniform plants to say it is a variety. Perhaps there are lots of those out there. Who knows?

    3D Printed Neofinetia Pots

I did a lot of 3d printing in the last couple months. It works quite well actually, but I don't think that the neo pot is worth the price.

    Bel Royal

Well, if kolo is a species we should have left in the jungle, I don't want to know what ppl think about ooii. Nevertheless these species (and also supardii btw) are botanically interesting. And this is a very important thing for me and for many of you guys on ST, right?

    new growth question

The left one starts at the base of an old growth which is pretty normal. Much better is the situation you have on the right side. The new growth comes out of a young and half mature growth. When your plant does that it can grow into a clump very quickly and it means that your culture is perfect...

    Paphiopedilum dianthum N°2

4 is pretty good for dianthum. A friend of mine visited a nursery where 500 dianthums with giant clumps were grown. Only very few of them flowered with a flower count in the region of an average parishii. There is a cold period in this region btw with frost at night.
