    Phragmipedium besseae var dalessandroi

I think you might have them reversed. Phrag besseae tends to have more “stoloniferous” growth IME.

    Phragmipedium klotzschianum

I asked about sourcing some plants a almost a year ago and finally scored plants back in June. Here is the first one to bloom. Not a beauty but I’ll give it another chance. Lol

When the leaves are brown, unpot and put in a new pot with a little media. When there is a tiny growth, pot up and start to water when the...

    Habenaria medusa ‘Dana Lynn’ FCC/AOS

Hab medusa was always a species that I thought was pretty cool. This plant was selected almost two years ago from a group of first bloom seedlings. Thankfully, it was not murdered by me during dormancy. Hahaha Assuming it would get no higher than an AM, I had the clonal name ‘The Lorax’ with...

Phragmipedium besseae 'Mega' x 'Zephyrus Mega'

Every one of this breeding has been horrible for me as well. Pretty upsetting since spending a significant amount of money on the flasks. Tyler

Where have all the Phrag. Jason Fischers gone?

I love this post! Phrag Jason Fischer is one of my favorite hybrids and besseae is my favorite species. When I was living in the San Francisco Bay Area, I traveled to Castroville regularly for work and always allowed a long stop at OZ when Terry still owned the nursery and then John. As many of...
